Abstract. The genus Micromonospora belongs to one of the least-known genera of the Actinomycetales. It comprises both mesophilic and thermophilic forms and is found in soils, in water, in manure and in composts. The present paper reports on antibiotic potential of Micromonospora as measured by its antagonism against bacteria.
